Description: West Midland Safari Park are currently recruiting for a Fixed Term position of Animal Keeper on our Ungulates Africa section.

This is an exciting opportunity, where we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate the ability and knowledge to work with our extensive range of ungulate species managed in a drive through system. The position involves husbandry tasks, such as feeding, cleaning, health monitoring and enclosure maintenance delivered to a high standard. The role also includes delivery of keeper talks and monitoring of guests in our drive through reserves, so you must be confident front of house as well as behind the scenes.

About you

The role requires someone who is confident, motivated and enthusiastic about wildlife conservation and has excellent communication skills. The successful applicant will require good wildlife knowledge and have or be working towards, an animal related qualification to HND level or above. Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous experience in a zoological collection, although full training will be given.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings.

Due to driving in animal restricted areas, we are looking for someone who has a full, valid driving licence.
