Description: West Midland Safari Park has an exciting opportunity for the role of Sous Chef.

This varied role will require an enthusiastic and dynamic applicant to support and assist the Head Chef to effectively run the daily kitchen activities and service cycle, working to prepare high quality dishes to a consistent standard, whilst meeting all food safety and hygiene regulations.

This exciting role covers a wide range of tasks; including; support to the Head Chef to prepare a full range of menu options, meeting the requirements and expectations of guests and clients. Line management of the Kitchen Porter, developing a range of culinary skills that support the ingredients preparation and service cycle, stock management and inventory. Assisting menu development, and client cook offs.

About you:

The ideal candidate will need to be highly organised, capable of working as part of a fast-paced culinary team, demonstrating ability to organise, prioritise and meet set deadlines. You will have gained a formal culinary qualification or be able to demonstrate previous experience within a similar setting.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
