WMSP IT Technical Support Officer...

Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days (will involve weekend working).

Salary: from £25,000 to £30,000

Description: West Midland Safari Park are currently looking for a systematic and solutions focused individual to take on the role of IT Technical Support Officer. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering a wide-range of effective IT solutions, carrying the responsibility of implementing and maintaining efficient IT usage through the delivery of network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, systems administration and responsive technical support.

The role will involve planning and undertaking routine IT maintenance work as well as identifying and prioritising areas of improvement. In addition, the role will assist the IT Manager with analysing and acting on IT data, generating and delivery insight-led solutions that will enhance effectiveness and user experience.

About you

In order to succeed in this role, you will thrive in a varied and challenging IT environment, demonstrating your ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise your own workload. You will be able to confidently communicate across the organisation in an approachable and supportive manner. Your skillset will include knowledge and understanding of both Apple and MS software.

You will have a proven track record of providing technical IT user support, as well as maintaining IT infrastructure, hardware and software. Your previous experience will also involve successfully leading on the delivery of ad-hoc IT projects.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to working outside of standard business hours, including weekend working and bank holidays.
