Hours: 37.5 hours (Term Time) & 22.5 hours (School holiday weeks). Working pattern Monday - Friday. Weekend work may be required. The weekly hours will vary in line with the academic teaching calendar and provide varied monthly pay dependant on the hours worked in each pay period.


Description: West Midland Safari Park has an exciting opportunity for the position of Education Officer to join our team.

Your role will include providing educational talks, tours and activities to visiting schools and groups. The role also includes assisting in the teaching of Level 1, 2 and 3 Animal Care and Management Diplomas ensuring lesson plans, schemes of work and assessment are kept to a high standard at all times

About You

The role requires someone who is confident, motivated and enthusiastic about conservation education and has excellent communication skills. You will have gained a degree level qualification in an animal related subject. Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous experience within a teaching, presenter or educator role. Teaching qualifications of PTLLS, CTLLS or PGCE would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This disclosure will need to be satisfactory to the company for employment to commence.
