Description: West Midland Safari and Leisure Park are recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team.

The successful candidates will support the completion of engineering schedules of work across the Park, prioritising the daily Theme Park ride inspections and mechanical checks, including the completion of data system requirements to ensure rides are deemed operationally safe and handed over to the Theme Park team in the required timeframes.

The role will also be responsible for undertaking diagnostic work, repairs and preventative maintenance of both Theme Park rides and Company equipment and machinery, ensuring all work complies with relevant Health and Safety regulations, documented procedures and is undertaken to set deadlines and budgets.

About you

You will have previous demonstrable experience working in a safety critical mechanical environment and be able to demonstrate your ability to work efficiently within a responsive fitter role to meet changing priorities and deadlines.

You will have a relevant level 3 qualification or above and be capable and confident in the use of a wide range of relevant tools and equipment without the need for supervisor. You will be able to complete schedules of work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Due to the role supporting Engineering across the entire business, the successful candidate will need to hold a full, valid driving licence to access animal restricted areas.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to working outside of standard business hours, working shift patterns that are inclusive of some weekend days, bank holidays and special event evenings.
